Injury & Illness Prevention Program
Federal and state OSHA regulations require employers to provide a safe and healthful workplace to employees. Some states require every employer to have an effective injury and illness prevention (known in some states as accident prevention) program in writing.
When an employer is required to implement such a program, the written program must, at the least:
- Identify responsibilities
- Outline the system for ensuring that employees comply
- Outline the system for communicating including:
- Meetings
- Training
- Postings
- Written communication
- Notification of hazards
- Identify and evaluate work hazards
- Outline the procedure for investigation of accidents
- Outline the procedure for correction of workplace hazards
- Provide records of inspections
- Outline the procedure for implementation
The following is what ECR will do for you:

· Assist in the development of a safety communications system with employees
· Assist in the development of a system to assure employee compliance
· Assist in the development of a scheduled inspections/evaluation system
